FPC Visits BlueSky

Last night, the first of two short term teams began their adventure in Nairobi.  Three ladies from the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, GA is spending their day today learning more about BlueSky’s work in Nairobi.  Today they are spending the day at DP, the location for Climb BlueSky, our ministry hub in the city. The facility is a large shopping mall in the heart of the Indian community so they are spending much of the day visiting the shops, intentionally talking with the shopkeepers, and praying over the entire facility and the surrounding communities.

The ladies from the roof of Diamond Plaza, looking at the beautiful skyline as they pray for the people surrounding BlueSky’s ministry hub.

Tonight they ate dinner in the home of Sandhia, one of our BlueSky Adventures team members.  Although born into a Hindu family, many of Sandhia’s family members have become Christians.  One of the awesome things about Sandhia is that she and one of her brothers came to know Christ at a camp put on by missionaries many years ago.  Since then, many of the members of her large family have come to Christ through their witness.  It is such a blessing to see the fruit of the labor of missionaries who did work very similar to ours long before we arrived in Kenya.  We serve a great God and the ladies from FPC were immensely blessed by their time with this sweet family tonight.
